Formal Affiliations
CLR is National Focal Point for Romania within RAXEN - European Network fighting against Rasism and Xenophobia, body established by the Fundamental Rights Agency of the EU. Acting in this quality, CLR periodically provides statistical data regarding racist and xenophobic acts in Romania.
ECAS (European Citizen Action Service) member starting from 2006. Initiated in 1990 as a non-profit, non-political and independent organization, ECAS aims at supporting NGOs and individuals in their relationship with the EU by performing advocacy, defend human rights and raise funds. At present, ECAS is made up of 96 NGOs all over the world active in the fields of developing civil society, human rigths and social welfare and health.
Associate member of Justice & Environment starting with 2006 and full member since 2010. In September 2010, Catalina Radulescu, Manager Program "Strategic Litigation" was elected member in the Executive Committee of the J&E. Justice & Environment is a network of 14 public interest environmental law organisations based in the EU member states, aiming to use law to protect people, the environment and nature. Its primary goal is to ensure the implementation and enforcement of the EU legislation through the use of European law and exchange of information.
SON (Soros Open Network) – an informal network of 13 independent NGOs, which acts for sustainable development of Romanian society. Established at the beginning of 2000, SON applies the open society principles in key areas such as justice and internal affairs, health, culture and media, education, minorities and ethnic relations, equal opportunities, community development and rural assistance.
CLR initiated and coordinates "Together against corruption" Network, which is a network of Romanian NGOs advocating for the correct implementation of provisions regarding integrity of the public sector.
CLR initiated and coordinates RADO Network. It is a network of Romanian lawyers willing to defend human rights, which acts for the development of jurisprudence in areas such as access to public information, transparency and public participation, rigths of people with mental disabilties, environmental law by the means of strategic litigation (eg: Poiana Mare, Rosia Montana, Ocna Sugaului, Pasajul Suprateran Basarab etc).
