Round tables on the mental health issues

Round tables with NGOs’ representatives and managers of the psychiatric hospitals and of the Directorates of the Public Health on the issues of the mental health

The Center for Legal Resources, in partnership with the Romanian League for the Mental Health invited the representatives of the civil society, managers of the psychiatric hospitals and of the Directorates of the Public Health to take part to a series of three debates to analyze the notices and recommendations of the 15 spontaneous monitoring visits carried out in psychiatric hospitals and sections, in several counties and Bucharest. 
 
The round tables took place in the cities of Alba Iulia (on the 8th September), Sibiu (on the 9th September) and Ramnicu Valcea (on the 10th September), within the project „The Development and the appliance of the monitoring mechanisms of the government’s actions in the field of the protection of the mental disabled persons’ rights,  from the health care and social assistance institutions in Romania”, funded by the EU, under the Phare Program, Section 2 - Democracy, the Environment Protection, the Consumer’s Protection, Social Dialog, Gender’s Aspects and Employment.
 
The participants in the debates mediated by Georgiana Pascu (Program Manager – “Advocate for Dignity”) came from the counties Valcea, Arges, Prahova, Mures, Gorj, Vaslui, Sibiu, Maramures, Bihor and Alba.
