Target groups of the project were non-governmental organizations at local level active in the fight against corruption, journalists and local public administrations.<\/h4>\n<h4>OBJECTIVES<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing expertise to anticorruption NGO local level;<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the integrity of local public administration;<\/li>\n<li>Promoting the integrity of local public administration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>RESULTS<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>10 non-governmental organizations involved<\/strong> locally in the fight against corruption have been selected in the project;<\/li>\n<li><strong>3 training sessions<\/strong> on anticoruptiei for local organizations and journalists have been delivered, and then the apprehended monitoring methods were applied;<\/li>\n<li><strong>local government institutions in 10 counties<\/strong> were monitored on the basis of size and scale;<\/li>\n<li>anti-corruption institutions have been asked\u00a0 to identify cases of corruption and monitoring results were presented publicly in the form of <strong>10 reports and 10 debates<\/strong> on these reports;<\/li>\n<li>based on local reports and organized debates, <strong>a national report<\/strong> was drawn up on the integrity of local government, which was disseminated in all counties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>PARTNERS<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.apd.ro\/ro_RO\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pro Democracy Association<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.transparency.org.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Transparency International Romania<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD<\/h4>\n<p>September 2006 &#8211; August 2007<\/p>\n<h4>FUNDING<\/h4>\n<p>European Union through the PHARE 2004, Civil Society<\/p>\n<h4>BUDGET<\/h4>\n<p>87,960 EUR<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The project aimed to\u00a0develop the skills and capacity of local non-governmental organizations to monitor and fight against corruption, and also, report local government&#8217;s integrity problems and present proposals to local administrations.
