{"id":6979,"date":"2018-11-23T14:47:59","date_gmt":"2018-11-23T12:47:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crj.ro\/?page_id=6979\/"},"modified":"2023-07-13T00:43:13","modified_gmt":"2023-07-12T21:43:13","slug":"victoriia","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.crj.ro\/en\/antidiscrimination\/victoriia\/","title":{"rendered":"VICToRIIA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The VICToRIIA &#8211; Best Practices in Victims&#8217; Support: Referrals, Information, Individual Assessment project, funded by the European Union\u2019s Justice Programme (2014-2020), is based on two sets of objectives and problems, relating to: 1) the practical implementation of Directive 2012\/29\/EU stablishing minimum standards on the rights, support and protection of victims of crime (the Victims Directive) \u2013 in particular articles 4 and 8; and 2) the operation of victim support services. Its main target group is represented by law enforcement agencies, victim support organizations, specialised lawyers for crime victims and other stakeholders engaged in victims\u2019 support.<\/p>\n<p>The major objectives are to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>a) ensure that victims of crime in Lithuania, Romania, Italy and Portugal have access to and are offered tailored victim support services suited to their needs; and<\/li>\n<li>b) ensure that the results of the project will be available and transferrable to situations across Europe.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Project will achieve its objectives through: a) developing an individual assessment process to determine the support needs of victims; b) strengthening partnerships between support organisations and between those organisations and the police; c) developing referral mechanisms, founded on secure communication channels, which can be used between support organisations and\/or between the police and those organisations; d) establishing an information package for victims on their rights, the impact of victimisation and on the victim services which exist in the States of the partner organisations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/VICToRIIA_National-Report-Romania.pdf\"><strong>REPORT FOR ROMANIA: <\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: inherit;\">REFERRAL, ASSESSMENT AND INFORMATION PROVISION TO VICTIMS OF CRIMES<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Research and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Best_Practices_Report_Final.pdf\">Collection of Best European Practices: BEST PRACTICES IN VICTIMS\u2019 SUPPORT: REFERRALS, INFORMATION, INDIVIDUAL ASSESSMENT<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Annex.pdf\">Annex<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The project is coordinated by <a href=\"http:\/\/nplc.lt\/en-GB\/\">Centre for Crime Prevention<\/a> (NPLC, Lithuania), in partnership with <a href=\"http:\/\/vilias.lt\/en\/About_Us\">Vilnius Institute for Advanced Studies<\/a> (VILIAS, \u00a0Lithuania), <a href=\"https:\/\/victimsupport.eu\/\">Victim Support Europe<\/a> (VSE, \u00a0Belgium), <a href=\"https:\/\/apav.pt\/apav_v3\/index.php\/en\/apav\/who-we-are\">The Portuguese Association for Victim Support<\/a> (APAV, Portugal), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.associazionelibra.com\/en\/home-2\/\">Associazione LIBRA Onlus<\/a> (LIBRA, Italy), Center for Legal Resources (CLR, Romania), The Police Department under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, <a href=\"https:\/\/vilnius.lt\/en\/municipality\/\">Vilnius City Municipality Administration<\/a> (VMSA, Lithuania) and <a href=\"http:\/\/lkpb.policija.lrv.lt\/en\/\">Lithuanian Criminal Police Bureau<\/a> (LKPB, Lithuania).<\/p>\n<p>It started in 2017 and shall end in February 2020.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-6208 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.crj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/ec-300x183.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"113\" height=\"69\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.crj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/ec-300x183.png 300w, https:\/\/www.crj.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/ec.png 733w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 113px) 100vw, 113px\" \/><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">Project funded by the European Union\u2019s Justice Programme (2014-2020).<\/h5>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">The content of this webpage represents the views of the author only and is his\/her sole responsibility.
