Improving the professional skills in local government in the field of project management and procurement

The project aims to improve the effectiveness in  the public administration  by improving the  knowledge and expertise of the civil servants and of the contractual staff in the European projects management and procurement’s departments. The training needs of the civil servants will be analysed during the project, in order to identify critical areas in terms of  knowledge and expertise, in the context of their insufficient  long life lerning education in the up mentioned areas.

OBJECTIVES

  • Training  the human resources in the local public authorities in 5 counties by carrying out 30 reports on the training needs, 5 action plans on long life professional training and by disseminating the best practices within a conference;
  • Improvement of the technical supply  in the local government in 5 counties: Bacău, Gorj, Vâlcea, Călăraşi and Mureş;
  • Development of the expertise and knowledge of 180 employees within 30 local public authorities in 5 counties in the areas of projects management and procurement.

RESULTS

  • 25 working visits to assess the training needs of the 30 local public authorities
  • drafting 30 reports on the training needs (one for each benecficiary public authority)
  • carrying out course supports on procurement and on projects management
  • organizing 10 training sessions (5 for projects management and 5 for procurement)
  • granting qualification/training certificates recognized nationally for 144 persons
