The Center for Legal Resources (CLR) condemns the inadequate reaction of Romania’s President, Traian Basescu, to the appeal to non-discrimination of Roma and homosexual people addressed by Madona in her Bucharest concert. While participating in a Roma Festival, the President qualified Madona’s gesture as “unpleasant” and coming from “a lack of awareness”.
