Round table to launch the report “Integrity, where to?”

CLR analized the relationships between ANI and CNI

 

The Center for Legal Reources (CLR) launched on the 15th October, the Report „Integrity, where to? Perspectives over the functioning of the National Integrity Agency (ANI) and of the National Integrity Council (CNI)” during a round table which brought together ANI and CNI members, reprezentatives of the NGOs working in the field of integrity and journalists.

The Center for Legal Reources (CLR) launched on the 15th October, the Report „Integrity, where to? Perspectives over the functioning of the National Integrity Agency (ANI) and of the National Integrity Council (CNI)” during a round table which brought together ANI and CNI members, reprezentatives of the NGOs working in the field of integrity and journalists.
The issues debated during the round table reffered to: ANI’s results in the first part of 2009 in the prevention and observance of the conflicts of interests, of the incompatibilities and illicit wealth and ANI’s activity on the further dimensions: its relationship with CNI,  transperancy,  functioning problems,  legislative changes  needed for a complete fulfillment of ANI’s mandate, ANI’s relationship with the public servatns who implement, at local level, the law regarding the assets and interests declarations.

CLR recommanded the establishment of a permanent and substantial dialog between ANI and CNI, disclosure of the internal ANI’s procedures and asked ANI to comply with the impartiality’s principle, objectivity, freedom of expression, transparency and the free access to information related to the ongoing dossiers.
