CLR declines attendance to the meeting with the Minister of Labour, Mr. Marius Constantin Budăi

CLR cannot accept the invitation of the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity to participate in a consultative working cluster today at 5:00pm at the MLSS headquarters, our response being:

Minister Budăi, in the field of social work, personal calling and good faith are two fundamental dimensions for the exercise of this profession, which is also applicable to the highest position in this field – that of Minister of Labour and Social Solidarity. Your reaction to our request for your resignation was inviting us to discussions exclusively on the basis of the serious situations ‘publicly disclosed’ by the criminal investigation bodies. It shows both a lack of vocation and the absence of good intentions.

If the invitation had come a few weeks or months ago or at any time earlier (when we referred to you the arbitrary deprivation of liberty, humiliation and violation of the fundamental rights of people with disabilities detained in the social care homes in Ilfov or other counties) we could have granted you the presumption of good intention.
